A Discovery Flight is the perfect first step into aviation. You’ll receive a preflight briefing, fly for 30 minutes with an experienced instructor, and then spend an hour one-on-one asking questions and exploring next steps. Available for a $265 flat rate.

No. A Commercial Pilot Certificate allows you to be paid for flying (charter, aerial work, flight instruction, etc.), but does not qualify you to fly for the airlines.

To become an airline pilot you typically need:

• An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
• Approximately 1,500 total flight hours
• Additional experience and ratings

The most common path is: Private -> Instrument -> Commercial -> build hours (often as a CFI) -> ATP -> airline
